Aimed at false starters and students with special needs, Entry Point is a remedial reading program consisting of three workbooks. It is aimed at false starters and students with special needs. The program focuses on three word identification skill areas: phonics, sight words and context clues. Students are introduced to longer decodable texts with attention to consonant and vowel combinations and long-vowel phonograms. Relevant sight words are introduced at this stage. The book is accompanied by a teacher’s guide with photocopiable worksheets for each unit and a wealth of extra worksheets and additional ideas for reading activities.
