Entry Point is a remedial reading program consisting of three workbooks. It is aimed at false starters and students with special needs. The program focuses on three word identification skill areas: phonics, sight words and context clues. Students are involved in using phonic knowledge while reading for meaning. Entry Point 3includes a collection of short, easy-to-read passages dealing with a variety of interesting topics. Each passage is followed by comprehension activities. Throughout the book, phonic elements are reintroduced and reviewed. The book is accompanied by a teacher’s guide with photocopiable worksheets for each unit and a wealth of extra worksheets and additional ideas for reading activities.
